The Best Affordable Jewelry Stores I Found in NYC (+ What I Paid)
I spent the afternoon shopping for everyday jewelry in Midtown Manhattan. Here's where I shopped, what I loved, and what I ended up spending.
If you've ever wondered where people find those cute, everyday jewelry pieces without paying luxury prices, you're in the right place. I spent an afternoon shopping around Midtown Manhattan comparing a few affordable jewelry stores to see which ones were actually worth visiting. By the end of the day, I'd walked over 15,000 steps, found a few new favorite stores, and learned a lot along the way. Here's everywhere I shopped, what I thought, and exactly what I paid.
Before You Go: My Biggest Tip
If you're planning a jewelry shopping day in NYC, learn from my mistake: know what you're looking for before you go.
Know what you're looking for before you go.
I thought I'd just walk into each store and figure it out as I went, but there were so many options that I honestly didn't know where to start.
Bracelets. Rings. Earrings. Necklaces. Charms.
Every store had walls and walls of jewelry, and before long I found myself picking something up, putting it back, walking to another display, then coming back to the first one again.
If I could do it over, I'd go in with a list. Even if it's just, "I'm looking for two bracelets and a pair of everyday hoops." It'll make the whole experience a lot less overwhelming.
Stop #1: US Jewelry
This was the first store I visited, and honestly... it was a great way to start the day.
The woman helping me was so nice and took the time to explain the difference between gold-filled and gold-plated jewelry. If you have sensitive skin like I do, that's information you'll definitely want to know before buying anything.
I'll be honest though, I wanted everything.
At one point I was just standing there looking around because I couldn't decide what to get. I kept reminding myself that I didn't want to buy jewelry just because it was cute. I wanted pieces I'd actually wear over and over again.
I left with a few pieces I loved and felt really good about my first stop.
What I spent: $67.62

Stop #2: Jewelry in Trend
This one wasn't even on my list.
I happened to walk in because I was already in the area, but... I was probably in there for all of two minutes.
After shopping at US Jewelry, it just wasn't giving what I was looking for.
That doesn't mean you won't find something you like, but for me, I knew pretty quickly it wasn't the store I wanted to spend more time in.
What I spent: $0.00
Stop #3: P&K Jewelry
Now this store...
They had to buzz me in.
Immediately I was like, "Okay... this is serious."
The whole experience felt completely different from the other stores. There were multiple counters with associates helping customers based on exactly what they were shopping for. You could still walk around and browse on your own, but it definitely felt more structured.
I will say, they had a lot of options.
So if you're looking for variety, I'd definitely stop in. Personally, I just preferred the more relaxed shopping experience at some of the other stores.
What I spent: $54.44

Stop #4: Earring Plaza
By the time I got here, I had already convinced myself I was done shopping.
Then I walked inside.
This ended up being my favorite store of the entire day.
Their bracelet selection? Yeah... that's what got me.
Somehow I still found even more pieces I loved, even after spending hours shopping.
If I ever come back to do another jewelry shopping day in New York, this will probably be my first stop.
What I spent: $78.88

Here's What I Spent
Here's what I ended up spending at each store:
- US Jewelry: $67.62
- Jewelry in Trend: $0.00
- P&K Jewelry: $54.44
- Earring Plaza: $78.88
Total: $200.94
Honestly... I expected it to be worse 😂
Considering how many pieces I brought home, I was really happy with what I spent.
My Favorite Stores
If you're short on time, here's where I'd go first:
Earring Plaza — My favorite overall. The bracelet selection completely won me over.
US Jewelry — A very close second. Amazing customer service, and I learned so much while I was there.
P&K Jewelry — Great selection if you want lots of options, but I personally preferred the vibe of the first two stores.
The Takeaway
What I thought was going to be a quick shopping trip somehow turned into an entire afternoon.
I walked over 15,000 steps, spent way more time comparing jewelry than I expected, and somehow still felt like I could've kept shopping.
Would I do it again?
Yes.
Next time, though, I'm showing up with a shopping list...and probably an emptier suitcase.
